Well what a trip we had
We travelled out to Switzerland as part of the Great Britain team on the 10th July 2011. After an early start saying good bye to all the parents at Forestdale we arrived at the airport safe and sound. Checking in was fun... or at least it was for us waiting and not for Vicky and Claire who had to check everyone in on those silly little machines!! But it did speed things along nicely. After going through passport control and customs, guess what... yep Jane decided to pack a child toy... not any child's toy but a bow and arrow!!! Yep you guessed it she got stopped and had the top bods come down, dont think she will do that again. After our wait airside we finaly got on the aeroplane bound for Geneva. Arriving safely and enjoying the scenery we arrived at our accomodation - the school. We all knew that Switzerland was hilly but boy what a hill we had to climb on a daily basis to get to our accomodation - BUT WE ALL DID IT!!!
It was a very busy week, only one day for shopping!! But we was there for Gymnastics after all. And the parents were kept up to date too with the regular updates on Facebook thanks to Vicky and Tammy. Mind you i dont think any of us minded coming home and missing those lights of a nightime on a sensor or our own beds!
